Common BT Mail error messages and how to resolve them

Log in errors

This was introduced as a security measure to help protect customers who regularly use Wi-Fi and potentially unsecured networks to access their email.

Resolve this by logging out and then logging back in again.

 

If an email address isn't used for 90 days or more, it'll be suspended. This is a warning message that we're about to do that.

Email addresses not reactivated will be closed, and all your messages, contacts, and your calendar will be deleted. Once deleted, you won't be able to recover this data.

To stop this from happening, all you need to do is log into your email account.

BT Mail errors

You'll see this when BT Mail is trying to load data from the servers but isn't getting a response.

It doesn't necessarily indicate a problem, but sometimes it's due to local network connectivity. Try the following:
