With Wi-Fi Calling and BT Mobile you can make calls and send texts in more places when connected to Wi-Fi. There's no change to your regular bill when you use Wi-Fi Calling.
Calls and texts are charged to your monthly allowance as usual. If you go over your allowances, you'll be charged at standard rates.
Calls made using Wi-Fi Calling will not be shown as Wi-Fi calls on your bill.
Depending on your current settings and allowances, you'll be able to make international and premium calls. These will be billed as normal.
Why do I have to pay for calls made over Wi-Fi?
Although the call or text starts over a broadband Wi-Fi connection, it simply uses Wi-Fi to connect to the BT mobile network. The mobile network still carries the call.
Does it use up my data allowance?
Wi-Fi Calling won't use up any of your data allowance. Calls and texts come out of your monthly plan allowances as normal.
If you send a text from your iPhone while using Wi-Fi Calling, it will be treated as a standard text, not an iMessage.
